Labradoodle

                                                  About the Breed

A labradoodle is a crossbreed dog created by crossing the labrador retriever and the
standard, miniature or toy poodle. My lab cross is a labrador retriever and a
standard poodle.
They should be 22 to 24” in height for a male and 21-23” for a female, both can
range in weight from 45 to 65 lbs.
The most common colors are gold, red, black, chocolate and cream. There are
several rare colors like the parti, merle black and white and sable.
Labradoodles are smart and social dogs, affectionate with both adults and children
and also pets. They are friendly, energetic and very intelligent, always ready to
play. They love water and are good swimmers. They are known for their
intelligence, affection, extroversion and elegant gait.
Labradoodles have different coat types and usually don’t shed or shed very little.
They do need regular brushing and grooming.
They make wonderful family pets, are social, sweet and are typically very
affectionate even with strangers.
